NAPS Launches "Power NAPS" Microlearning Webinar Series

The National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS) is excited to announce a major evolution in its professional development offerings. The former "NAPS Lunch N Learn" webinar series has been rebranded and reimagined as "Power NAPS", embracing the innovative
concept of microlearning to better serve its members.

“Power NAPS" integrates the principles of microlearning, which addresses the Hermann Ebbinghaus forgetting curve,” said Trinette R. Cunningham, CPC, CTS, President of NAPS. “Research shows that when people are presented with large amounts
of information, retention tends to decline significantly over time—often as much as 80% within a month. By focusing on short, impactful learning sessions, we’re enhancing the way our members absorb and retain knowledge.”

Each Power NAPS webinar will deliver a maximum of 20 minutes of targeted education and insights, exclusively available to NAPS members.

Jamie Schwartz, NAPS Board President and CEO of Haley Stuart Group, added, “We are always assessing how to provide greater value to our members. This shift to microlearning represents a strategic enhancement not only to our webinar series
but also to the breakout sessions at our annual conference, Ignite 2025.”

Tom Erb, NAPS Content Chair and President of Tallann Resources further explained, "Microlearning is the perfect way to pack a punch without overwhelming your brain—a little goes a long way!

The NAPS Annual Conference, Ignite 2025, will be held June 8–10 at the trendy Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas, featuring a dynamic lineup of educational opportunities and networking events.

Women Remain Underrepresented in Staffing Leadership Roles

Women Remain Underrepresented in Staffing Leadership Roles

WBC and Partner Organizations Announce Results of Third Gender Equity Benchmark Survey and Explore Industry Challenges and Opportunities

Washington DC – December 5, 2023 – Women comprise the majority of internal workforces in US staffing firms, but remain underrepresented at the executive, c-suite, and board levels. This is according to data from the third gender equity
benchmark survey led by the Women Business Collaborative (WBC) with support from the American Staffing Association (ASA), National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS), Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA), and TechServe Alliance.

“This
is our third year to publish this landmark survey measuring gender equity progress across the staffing industry,” said Kip Wright, WBC board member. “The survey shows both incremental progress while still making it clear that more needs to be done
to open doors to leadership roles for women in staffing.” The WBC created a dynamic dashboard to view survey results, WBC Benchmark Survey on Gender Equity in the Staffing Industry. Survey data with SIA analysis is available on SIA’s website as a
complimentary report, “Insights on Gender Parity in the US Staffing Industry 2023.”

“Although progress is slow, the staffing industry does perform better than the broader world of work. Organizations should use this data as a catalyst
for continued improvement,” said Ursula Williams, chief operating officer for SIA. “Our research continues to show gender equity is so much more than an initiative; it is a vital demand necessary in every corner of the staffing industry. Empowering
women in staffing leadership unlocks diverse perspectives, fosters innovation, and establishes a more dynamic and progressive approach for the industry and society overall.”

Women remain highly important and visible in the US staffing
industry according to this year’s survey. The 2023 WBC Benchmark Survey showed that women comprised a median 66% of staffing firm internal staff, on par with 2022. However, they represented only half of executive positions and just 33% of board seats,
the latter representing a drop of 3% year-over-year.

“This survey underscores the positive standing of our industry compared to others, highlighting strong representation of women. However, it also reveals a stark contrast within our c-suites,
where gender parity for women is lacking,” said Teresa Delibert, NAPS chair. “The findings emphasize the collective journey towards achieving gender equity and fair pay in the staffing industry, as well as across various sectors. Despite optimistic
timelines expressed by respondents, realizing these expectations will require a substantial effort. As the chairperson for NAPS, I take pride in our commitment to equity and inclusion. I encourage organizations to leverage this data as a catalyst
for positive change, steering us in the right direction towards a more inclusive future.”

The study featured additional key findings:
● Women accounted for 36% of staffing firm founders and 40% of CEO positions. Commercial staffing
had the highest representation at 37%, followed by healthcare staffing at 36%.
● When the founder of the company was a woman, 84% of CEOs were female. Conversely, only 17% of CEOs were female if the founder of the staffing firm was male.
● Interestingly, staffing firms with a female CEO received a very positive
Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 83, compared to an NPS of 47 for the staffing firms with a male CEO. However, other factors could be at play.
● Staffing companies with female CEOs scored higher employee satisfaction in all areas recorded. Female
CEOs scored, on average, 87% in meeting their staffs' expectations compared to 77% if the staffing company CEO was male.
● DE&I and well-being rank low in concerns and priorities based on study data. New business development ranked as the most
pressing concern/priority at 68% of respondents.
● Only half of survey respondents measure, track, and analyze pay equity in their organization. Men are significantly more optimistic than women about gender and ethnic pay equity.

"The persistent underrepresentation of women at the leadership levels is a stark reminder that our industry must continue its efforts to be more proactive and intentional toward creating equal opportunities. Tracking and measuring pay equity within
a staffing firm is critical to achieving this goal,” said Susan Donohoe, chief of staff and chief program officer at TechServe Alliance. “Promoting gender diversity in the C-suite is not just a matter of social responsibility; it is a strategic business
imperative that can positively impact a company's performance, culture, and long-term sustainability. We have an opportunity here as an industry to strive for better and foster an environment where women can thrive and contribute at every level.”
ASA is hosting industry thought leaders on a webinar to explore the issue of gender equity in the staffing industry by reviewing some of the key findings from the WBC’s third benchmark survey. Registration is open for the webinar, “A Panel Discussion
on Gender Equity in the Staffing Industry,” taking place Thursday, Dec. 14 at 2 pm eastern time.

“Women need access to more opportunities to thrive in staffing. Conversations like the upcoming webinar are vital to keeping the topic of
developing future women leaders in staffing front and center in our industry,” said Joanie Bily, chair of ASA. “I’m proud to serve as chair of the American Staffing Association, an organization whose board has achieved gender parity. ASA will continue
to help women staffing leaders receive the support they need to reach their full career potentials.”

This is the third gender equity benchmark survey issued in conjunction with the Women Business Collaborative and the four major staffing
industry organizations. Distributed widely to senior executives across the staffing sector, the 2023 survey included over 600 separate responses. Survey questions ranged from the composition of board, CEO, and executive roles, to the underlying gender-related
demographics of the business. It was developed to facilitate the publication of the survey in a dynamic dashboard that would allow readers to view differing dimensions of each answer based on those underlying demographics. The resulting survey results
are both rich in content and revealing in their results.

Women Business Collaborative launches its third benchmark survey on gender equity in the Staffing and Executive Search industry.

August 4, 2023: Women Business Collaborative (WBC), in partnership
with The American Staffing Association, National Association of Personnel Services, TechServe Alliance, and Staffing Industry Analysts, announces the launch of its 2023 benchmark survey on gender equity in the Staffing and Executive Search industry.
This survey, our third annual, seeks to better understand the progress being made towards the achievement of equity in position, pay, and power for women in the Staffing Industry.

Past surveys have suggested that we are seeing moderate progress in the balance of power for women in Board and C level roles but are still lacking in roles involving P&L responsibility. Further, these surveys have given us unique insights into
the differences in performance and employee engagement resulting from firms run by women CEOs.

This year’s survey has been modified to simplify some of the responses while allowing new dimensions from which to analyze the results. Further, we have added some additional questions around gender equity that we feel will better frame our results
with action-oriented insight. “We are truly excited to release this third benchmark survey around gender equity in the Staffing industry”, said Kip Wright, WBC Board Director and Chair of the WBC Advisory Council Staffing Workstream. “In partnership
with our Association and Research partners, we have been able to leverage the results of past benchmark surveys to increase awareness and accelerate the progress of this important objective”.

The survey is open to all employees of Staffing
and Executive Search companies. Results will be assembled, analyzed, and published later this year.

42% of CEO/Owners in Staffing Are Women vs. 8.8% in Fortune 500 Companies

Alexandria, VA, Feb. 15, 2023— The percentage of women who serve as chief executive officers and owners in the staffing industry
showed moderate improvement 2020 to 2022 despite setbacks that occurred during the COVID pandemic, according to a new survey released by the Women Business Collaborative with support from the National Association of Personnel Services, American Staffing
Association, Staffing Industry Analysts, and TechServe Alliance.

The number of women chief executive officers and owners in the staffing industry reached 45% in 2022, up only slightly from 44% in 2020. This is compared to the national
average of 21%, as reported by the US Census Bureau in 2019.

Notable findings include:

Women comprise 66% of staffing’s internal workforce but only 37% of board seats.

53% of CEO and owner roles at small agencies are filled by women, compared with 18% at large firms.

Salary review and equalization jumped from the fourth most common activity to advance women in leadership in 2020 to the most common in 2022.

"It is a wonderful thing to see the representation of women in staffing grow. There is still work to be done, but this is a great step in the right direction for our industry," said Trinette Cunningham, president of NAPS.

“I am so proud of the WBC and the four supporting organizations
and research firms that helped us with this historic second benchmark survey on gender equity in the staffing industry,” noted Kip Wright, board member with the WBC. “While the survey provides encouraging insight into the progress our industry has made
around this critical topic, there is much we can learn from our participants to help further guide us along this journey toward true and lasting gender equity.”

Join thought leaders in the industry for a webinar to discuss the survey results
and explore how staffing professionals can continue to elevate and support women in the industry. The webinar, hosted by TechServe Alliance, will take place Thursday, March 16, at 12:30 p.m. Eastern time. was distributed widely to senior executives across the staffing sector, included over 600 separate responses. Survey questions ranged from the composition of board, CEO, and executive roles, to the underlying gender related demographics of the business.

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this release stated, “The percentage of female CEOs and owners in
the staffing industry reached 42% in 2022, up from less than 20% in 2020.” In fact, the number of women
chief executive officers and owners in the staffing industry reached 45% in 2022, up only slightly from 44%
in 2020. This is compared to the national average of 21%, as reported by the US Census Bureau in 2019.

NAPS To Postpone 2020 Annual Conference Due To the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic

DAWSONVILLE, GA (June 22, 2020) – NAPS, the National Association of Personnel Services, in close collaboration with the Green Valley Ranch Resort & Spa, announced today it will postpone its in-person 2020 Annual Conference, scheduled to be held September 13 - 15, due to public health and safety concerns related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

NAPS is instead working with scheduled speakers, sponsors and industry partners to deliver an enhanced Lunch N’ Learn Webinar Calendar during the month of September. Registration information, exact dates and speaker opportunities for the Lunch N’ Learn Schedule will be shared with the NAPS community during the first week of July.

“After careful discussion with registered attendees, speakers, staff and board members, NAPS made the difficult decision to postpone our 2020 Conference until 2021,” said NAPS President, Trinette R. Cunningham, CPC, CTS. “As excited as we were to deliver another robust educational and networking opportunity in Las Vegas this September, the safety of our attendees, speakers, exhibitors, and NAPS staff outweighed any other considerations during our collective decision-making process.”

NAPS, Green Valley Ranch Resort & Spa and other event partners in Las Vegas were in regular contact during the planning of NAPS’ Annual Meeting and paid careful attention to the timing of federal and state of Nevada plans to ease air travel restrictions, social distancing guidelines and restrictions on large gatherings once the COVID-19 threat has abated. Given the number of still-unknown factors related to the containment of the virus, and with NAPS 2020 Conference attendees typically coming from all over the country as well as internationally, all parties concluded that cancelling the face-to-meeting meeting was the safe and responsible action.

"These are obviously unprecedented times around the world. While September will be much different than today, there is too much uncertainty now for our attendees, speakers, and sponsors to adequately and confidently plan to attend the conference,” said NAPS Board Chairman, Tom Erb. Postponing the conference now gives everyone time to make alternative plans, and NAPS can turn our focus to providing outstanding online content for our members."

Further details regarding NAPS’ Enhanced September Webinar Calendar as well as the 2021 dates will be communicated as soon as they are finalized and updated on NAPS’ website, www.naps360.org

NAPS Announces 2019 Board Of Directors

DAWSONVILLE, GA (January 2019) - The National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS), the nation's leading search, recruiting, and staffing industry educator and oldest industry association, is proud to announce the 2019 NAPS Board of Directors. The 2019 NAPS Board will be guided by the new Executive Committee, with new Chairwoman, Glenna Cose Brin, CPC, at the head of the ship.

Cose Brin, President of AllianceStaff LLC, said, “I’ve been in the recruiting business forever! I was lucky enough to start in this crazy and intoxicating business, working for the most successful national (Dunhill) franchise for many years, and learned the meaning of success and high goals from an early point in my career. After being VP of Dunhill of Milwaukee, and then working for the corporate Dunhill entity for another 10 years, I eventually opened up AllianceStaff in 2006 in order to stay focused on what I love - solving problems and helping others. My philosophy in life comes from an old Zig Ziglar quote: “You can get everything you want in life if you just help enough other people get what they want.” And that mantra has served me well.

Cose Brin went on to say, “Our industry and business is awesome. Where else can you affect so much important change, in a changing business itself? This year I am honored to serve as NAPS Chair. As Chair, my goal is to continue expanding on the great work that others have done before me, as well as help all offices take a measured look at where they are at present. With business changes in the air, this will be a year to learn to ride the hills and valleys well.”

Serving alongside Cose Brin as new Board Chairwoman is Tom Erb serving as Chairman Elect, Ryan Scott, CPC as Vice Chair, and Melody Cristo, CPC, now part of the Executive board, as Secretary/Treasurer.

Cristo had this to say about the new position within the Executive Board: “I am truly honored for the opportunity to serve as Secretary/Treasurer for an organization of this caliber. I’m proud to follow some great leaders of our association and look forward to making a positive contribution to our continued success. NAPS has a tremendous reputation in the recruiting industry and an enviable list of firms and partners, all which provide for invaluable networking opportunities. The wealth of legal and industry knowledge, alongside with the CPC certification has continued to play an important role in my career. I look forward to my time with the 2019 NAPS Board, the team there, and helping them build an even better business and partnership with the recruiting community.”

The organization gives many thanks to a fantastic job done to Immediate Past Chairman, Bruce Putman, CPC served as Board Chairman through 2018 and has officially passed along the torch to Cose Brin.

In addition to the new Executive Committee, we are proud to announce some returning Directors and Advisory Board members. The 2019 Directors are comprised of David Adams, of Careerlink Network, Meredith Daly, CPC, of Advanced Search & Placement and Teresa M. Delibert, CPC of Delibert Employment Solutions. Rounding out the full Board of Directors are our two Advisory Board members, Mark Demaree of Top Echelon and Amy West of People 2.0.

“We are so happy to have Glenna Cose Brin as our Chairwoman,” said Trinette Cunningham, NAPS President. “She brings exceptional insight and enthusiasm to the organization. Together along with this stellar board, we’re excited about our united vision for creating even more growth through 2019 for the organization.”

The 2019 NAPS Board will convene in January to discuss plans and initiatives for the new year.

New NAPS Association Alliance Partners Announced

DAWSONVILLE, GA (November 10, 2017) - The National Association of Personnel Services (NAPS), the nation's leading staffing industry educator and oldest industry association, is proud to announce the organization’s newest Association Alliance Partners. The newest partners to NAPS are Ohio Staffing and Search Association and Recruiters of Wisconsin.

The Ohio Staffing and Search Association (OSSA) serves as the voice of the industry in Ohio to communicate industry matters to association members, legislative leaders, regulators, the news media, and the general public. OSSA is a top resource for the staffing industry in Ohio and surrounding regions. The association provides valuable information, support and benefits that empower staffing firms to manage and grow their business.

Deborah Santora-Tuohy, president of the Ohio Staffing and Search Association, said “we look forward to collaborating with NAPS in building a strong alliance. Our goal is to develop and grow member benefits for Ohio’s recruiters and staffing agencies.”

In addition to the new partnership with OSSA, NAPS has also joined forces with Recruiters of Wisconsin. Recruiters of Wisconsin (ROW) is a professional trade organization comprised of placement firms specializing in direct hire, executive search, retained search, temporary-staffing, contract, outsourcing and consulting services in Wisconsin. The mission of ROW is to provide members with the most current resources necessary to conduct business in an innovative and quality manner. ROW is dedicated to positively representing the recruiting industry while upholding the highest standard of ethical practices.

Mark Rowbottom, president of Recruiters of Wisconsin, had this to say about the brand-new partnership: “ROW is excited to become an alliance partner with our National organization of recruiters who are committed to improving their quality of work, productivity and overall professionalism. In a day and age when fewer and fewer recruiters are joining organizations such as ROW and NAPS, we are becoming more active and our Wisconsin association is active and growing. Our new alliance with NAPS is another way for us to provide even more access to professional seminars, affiliates and educational opportunities! ROW is looking forward to a long and prosperous relationship.”

These two newly added association alliance partnerships fit perfectly with NAPS’ ever growing organization objective. Each organization’s mission matches perfectly with NAPS and will allow NAPS to be able to strengthen the efforts and interests of the recruiting and staffing industry in both Ohio and Wisconsin.
