Certified Employee Retention Specialist (CERS)
Share |

The Certified Employee Retention Specialist (CERS) is the newest credential offered by the National Association of Personnel Services. In the mid-2000s, NAPS, along with the help of recruiting and staffing industry leaders, identified the need for a credential reflecting a higher degree of mastery related to talent acquisition and human capital management through the full cycle of the employment experience.

The Certified Employee Retention Specialist is an individual with prior industry experience and in possession of at least one certification demonstrating proficiency in the legal implications on the work of direct-hire and temporary staffing professionals. CERS certified professionals are uniquely qualified to work in strategic partnership with corporate leaders, hiring managers, and human resources professionals in the growth, alignment, and optimization of their workforce.

Eligibility Requirements

Recruiting and staffing industry professionals who seek CERS certification demonstrate advanced knowledge of successful policies and practices relevant to talent acquisition, onboarding, retention, and the full employment cycle. Employers seek the services of CERS certified professionals, largely because they demonstrate advanced knowledge of the practical application of employment laws and best practices, and they stay on top of the latest legislation, employment trends, and other key issues impacting the recruiting and staffing industry through fulfillment of the continuing education requirements necessary to maintain their credential.

Candidates for the Certified Employee Retention Specialist credential must possess at least one of the following certifications:

·         Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) | Offered by NAPS

·         Certified Temporary Staffing Specialist (CTS) | Offered by NAPS

Prerequisite certifications must be current, according to the compliance standards set forth by the credentialing body.

Candidates for CERS must agree to uphold the National Association of Personnel Services Standards of Ethical Practices and Certification Program Rules.
