Each month NAPS is proud to feature and bring recognition to a NAPS member. For the month of July, we are happy to introduce Barbara J. Bruno, CPC, CTS. We would like to introduce Barbara J. Bruno, CPC, CTS as NAPS Member of the Month for July 2014. Barb has been a member and active promoter of NAPS for over twenty-five years. Her firm HR Search, Inc. has placed thousands of high level HR Professionals both direct and contract, in the Chicagoland market. She has worked in all segments of the Staffing and Recruiting Profession throughout her career. Barb believes in “giving back” and has encouraged hundreds of owners to join NAPS or become involved in their State or Local Associations. She served as the Chairman of the Board of NAPS and was instrumental in upgrading the Certification Programs. She also served as State President in both Indiana and Illinois. Barb has conducted strategic planning sessions for NAPS and other Associations to help them increase membership, revenues and better serve their members. Realizing the impact of training, Barb launched Good as Gold Training, Inc. to help Owners, Managers and Recruiters make more money. Many of you might remember Barb riding in on a 1,500 lb. long horn steer to deliver her NAPS keynote in San Antonio! She customizes her consulting, webinars, in-house training and conference programs to address issues most important to her clients. She is also an Authorized Partner for Wiley who distributes the DISC Assessment Tools. She is recognized as one of the top trainers in the Staffing and Recruiting Profession worldwide and is repeatedly rated the #1 Speaker at Conferences. Over 30,000 have participated in her Top Producer Tutor training and 100% of her clients have increased sales and profits. Realizing the increasing importance of the candidate experience, she also created Happy Candidates which is the only resource available to help the 95% of candidates we don’t place. For the first time in history, Staffing and Recruiting Firm owners can help 100% of the candidates they attract and this resource generates passive income! Barb has been singled out for her achievements in the Staffing and Recruiting Profession receiving the highest honor in Indiana – the Ancil T. Brown Award, the highest honor in Illinois – The Lincoln Award, and the two highest national awards from NAPS – the Harold B. Nelson Award and Hall of Fame. She received a Woman of Merit Award for her philanthropic endeavors and has held leadership roles in the Chamber of Commerce, Girls and Boys Clubs of America, Business and Professional Women’s Club and many other Associations. She writes for multiple publications monthly including NAPS Publications, Employment Marketplace, her Ask Barb Column in The Fordyce Letter and her NO BS Newsletter which is a bi-weekly training article. In the past few years, Barb is addressing more Corporate Audiences to help them understand the value of utilizing and partnering with our Profession. Her enthusiasm is “contagious” and she truly believes there is no better career on the face of the earth than to “change people’s lives for the better, on a daily basis!”
