College Presidents Admit Job Skills of Students are Unmet

A study of college presidents by the Gallup Organization and InsideHigherEd has found they want to help graduates find jobs, but believe their institutions are falling short. While nearly nine in 10 presidents said an emphasis on “critical thinking” skills and personal development is very important throughout college in order for graduates to get jobs, only about 40% believed they were effective at helping their students in this manner.
