End of 2014 Employment Rates Worthy of Attention

The Los Angeles Times recently reported on employment trends valuable to the search and staffing industry. First, the good news---there was a surge of December hiring bringing U.S. unemployment to its lowest level since 2008. Equally significant, however, the sluggish progress in both earnings and voluntary “quit rates,” coupled with the significant number in part-time employed, are lingering matters that distort the positive unemployment figures.
