Majority of Hires Never Report Looking for a Job

A new report found in the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco Economic Letter is reporting a statistic of importance to search and staffing professionals---most of the job switchers in the U.S. aren’t actively looking for a new job. Analysis of Census Bureau’s Current Population Survey (CPS) data has revealed that workers who changed jobs appear to have been sought out and recruited by the new employers. The findings also shed light on the job change by age group and educational attainment level.
