NAPS Announces 2015 Award Winners

DAWSONVILLE, GA (October 7, 2015) – NAPS, the National Association of Personnel Services, the nation's leading search, recruiting, and staffing industry educator and oldest industry association, proudly announced their 2015 Award Winners during their recent annual conference in Boston, MA. The Awards Ceremony recognized and honored three distinguished individuals who have given back to our industry and profession


The NAPS Hall of Fame Award was presented to Robert Krzak, President of Gecko Hospitality and Past NAPS Chairman.  Referring to his award, Mr. Krzak said, “Knowing the brilliant individuals for whom this award has been previously bestowed upon, it’s an absolute honor to be included with a group.” Recent Hall of Fame Inductees include:  Joe Hosmer, Carol Wenom, and Frank Burnett.


Mark Barnhart, Director of Touch Point Recruiting, was awarded the Norbert I.B. Fried Ethics Award. When nominating Mr. Barnhart,  Jenina Cody, Marketing Manager, Katz, Sapper & Miller, highlighted his commitment to ethics stating, “Mark Barnhart strives to ensure that he, his company and his people conduct themselves with the highest ethical standards in everything that they do…from internal training and hiring to his customer’s projects and his role in the community.“


Both awards are given to recognize those individuals who have made a significant, positive and lasting impact on the staffing & recruiting industry.


The Harold B. Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Marilyn Jackson, Manager of Barclay Personnel Systems and Sales Recruiters, Inc. This award recognizes an individual who has most distinguished herself in the course of a lifetime of service to the private placement industry. In regards to her award, Ms. Jackson said, “I am proud and humbled to have won this award.  Almost 30 years ago I went to my first NAPS conference and learned that my job could be an exciting career.”
