Two-Parent Working Households Resulting in Modified Roles

As the percentage of dual parents in the workforce has grown over the past several decades, changes are becoming apparent in the family tasks and responsibilities performed by these working men and women. A Pew Research Center analysis of U.S. Census data in late 2015 data found that two-parent working households has risen to 46%, up from 31% in 1970.
