Robotic Impact on American Job Loss

Automation was responsible for the loss of 670,000 manufacturing jobs between 1990 and 2007 according to a recent NY Times article in which two New England based economists report on the impact of robots in the workplace. Still to be determined is the residual effect that loss and the expected quadrupling of robots in the future will have on the larger workforce.
