Senate Passes CARES Act with Relief for Businesses and Additional Unemployment Benefits
The U.S. Senate unanimously passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (“CARES Act”) in the late hours of March 25, 2020. The bill provides various tax relief and loan provisions to assist businesses impacted by COVID-19, as well as additional unemployment benefits for individuals affected by the pandemic.
